College Chalktalk & Blue Ribbon Announce Strategic Partnership

CHARLOTTE, NC - College Chalktalk, LLC and Blue Ribbon Sports Media Group, Inc. are pleased to announce the formation of a Strategic Partnership. Fans will now be able to visit the College Chalktalk Web site for unparalleled, inside-the-lines comprehensive coverage of college basketball from both College Chalktalk and Blue Ribbon.

From the National Coaches' Diary Series to columns from College Chalktalk and Blue Ribbon contributors alike, College Chalktalk and Blue Ribbon will endeavor to provide fans the most credible commentary and analysis on the game anywhere.

"We are extremely excited to partner with an entity as well-respected as Blue Ribbon," said Chris DiSano of College Chalktalk.  "The Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook is the bible of College Basketball and second to none in terms of accuracy.  The common thread shared between College Chalktalk and Blue Ribbon is a commitment to covering the game the way it ought to be covered... by cultivating excellent relationships within the coaching community which enables us to provide the most informed coverage possible."

College Chalktalk was founded in November 2007 as a Web site dedicated to coverage of the Atlantic 10 conference.  Sponsored by the Atlantic 10, College Chalktalk has rapidly become a well-respected source of A-10 news and commentary.  While maintaining its Atlantic 10 roots, this past fall College Chalktalk expanded nationally with the advent and launch of the National Coaches' Diary Series, the first of its kind.  The NCDS features a blend of over 55 head and assistant coaches from more than 20 conferences, sharing perspective only available from the sidelines.

Blue Ribbon is no stranger to the college basketball landscape.  Over the last 30 years, Blue Ribbon has come to be known as the "bible" of college basketball. The 400-page book features full preview stories-ranging from 1,200 to 6,000 words, on every Division I team. The book is loved by its fans and widely used by people who make their living in college basketball, including coaches, media, NBA scouts and even the NCAA.

"We've had several offers to partner with Web sites over the years, but what drew me to College Chalktalk was its mission statement," said Blue Ribbon editor Chris Dortch. "Chris DiSano has determined that the bedrock of his Web site will be the relationships established with coaches. Blue Ribbon's mission statement is identical. Our information is the best because it comes right from the source."

Proof of Blue Ribbon's relationship with coaches can be found in a video produced by EA Sports, which has partnered with Blue Ribbon for its popular college basketball video game:

"We look forward to teaming with Blue Ribbon and continuing to provide credible commentary and analysis," said Chris DiSano.  "We hope that all of our readers will enjoy this expanded coverage."
