On June 4, 2010, the world lost a coaching legend and a remarkable man in John Wooden. While he owns the distinction as the first person inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as both a player and coach, Wooden's contributions far transcend the game of basketball. As a leader, visionary and extraordinary teacher, he developed his "Pyramid of Success" which identifies select behaviors essential to achieving success.
In this Pyramid Tribute, College Chalktalk is pleased to collaborate with the UCLA staff and several other well-respected coaches and players across the nation. Each day for the next three weeks, we pay tribute to Coach Wooden with the individuals below sharing personal thoughts on a particular block from his "Pyramid of Success".
