• Brian Ellerbe joined the men's basketball coaching staff at DePaul on May 5, 2010 as an assistant coach after serving as an assistant coach at George Washington.

• Ellerbe was the head coach at Michigan for four seasons and prior to that, he served as the head coach at Loyola College in Baltimore for three seasons (1994-97).

• A native of Capitol Heights, Md., Ellerbe is a 1981 graduate of Bowie High School and a 1985 graduate of Rutgers where he still holds the school's single-game assist record (16).
