• Coach Johnson enters his third season at UNI after
helping to guide the Panthers to an upset of top-seeded Kansas and
an appearance in the Sweet 16 in 2009-10.
• Prior to arriving at Northern Iowa, Johnson coached two
seasons at Texas Pan American and served one season as a graduate
assistant at the University of Dayton.
• Johnson was a 1,200 point scorer in college, splitting time
between Big Ten schools Northwestern and Minnesota and leading the
latter to the NIT Semifinals at Madison Square Garden in 2003.
