• Hester begins his second season on staff, after spending the previous five seasons at Prairie View A&M, ascending to the role of Associate Head Coach while there, and helping the Panthers to their first back-to-back winning seasons in 50 years.

• While at Prairie View, Hester's instruction on the defensive side of the ball was integral to the Panthers' team success, as PV A&M finished in the top 15 in field goal percentage defense in 2010.

• Assisting in all facets of the program from recruiting to player development and on-floor coaching, Hester brings experience gained from five previous stops to the San Jose State bench.
