Rising Coaches Elite is very proud to have the opportunity to
write for CollegeChalktalk.com and begin this Rising Coaches
Report!
Rising Coaches Elite (RCE) is an organization that began in April
of 2010 with the simple idea of networking and educating NCAA
Men’s Basketball Support Staff Members (Managers, Graduate
Assistants, Video Coordinators, Director of Basketball Operations,
etc.). What began as that simple idea has expanded into a
one-of-a-kind opportunity for D1 MBB Support Staffers to gather in
July of every year in Las Vegas for the Rising Coaches Conference.
Assistant Coaches, Head Coaches, and elite members of the media sit
down and talk to the attendees about a variety of topics, such as
recruiting, job interviewing, scouting, networking, loyalty, work
ethic, dealing with the media, relationship building, and
ethics.
In the two years of the conference, speakers have included:
Mark Morefield (former Assistant Coach at Baylor)
Josh Pastner at Memphis
Buzz Williams at Marquette

The Rising Coaches Corner will be a platform for some of our Rising Coaches Conference attendees to write about topics that they observe, learn, and encounter on a daily basis. The writers who have been selected have attended the Rising Coaches Conference at least one time. The unique perspective of the people who work “behind the scenes” but aspire to become Assistant & Head Coaches, will give the readers an opportunity to see the insight of some of the brightest young basketball minds in the coaching profession.
